ASUS sedang bersiap-siap untuk menggelar sekuel tablet-telepon nya yang diberi nama Padfone 2. ASUS awalnya mengumumkan untuk rilis Taiwan, tapi kemudian mengatakan itu akan datang ke sebagian besar Asia dan Eropa. Padfone 2 akan menampilkan dudukan telepon yang dirancang jauh lebih baik untuk menjaga telepon tetap diam di tempat. Salah satu fitur yang paling unggulan dari Padfone 2 adalah kamera 13 megapiksel yang terlihat sangat menjanjikan.

Padfone 2 memiliki beberapa spesifikasi yang cukup manis. Memiliki layar 4,7 inci Super IPS + 720p, kamera belakang 13 megapiksel dan 1,2 megapiksel kamera menghadap ke depan untuk sesi video call. Kamera bisa merekam video 720p pada 60 frame per detik dan video 1080p pada 30 FPS. Untuk kekuatan pemrosesan, Padfone 2 memiliki quad-core APQ8064 Qualcomm prosesor.

Perangkat ini juga memiliki 2GB RAM, Corning Glass Fit, LTE dan NFC. Kekuatan baterai sebesar 2.140 mAh. Sayangnya, tidak memiliki slot microSD untuk memori tambahan, sebaliknya, ASUS memberikan pembeli 50GB layanan WebStorage.
